Happy 20th Birthday Too Faced! 20 long years, Too Faced have been in the makeup game and there are launching their first collection but with a little twist.
Just like "Designer of the Day", I'll be giving you a little background knowledge about Too Faced the company.
1. Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson are the founders of Too Faced, they started working in makeup department stores.
2. They both worked for Estee Lauder, Armani, and Chanel.
3. Sick in tired of the strict rules, seriousness, and also talking one-on-one to their clients they grab their credit cards, add a little sprinkle of Pairs inspiration, and little glitz and glam Too Faced was born in 1998.
4. Jeremy as the CEO always striving for new business ideas.
5. Jerrod the Chief Creative Office is still creating glamorous products to make that second face beat to the makeup gods.
6. Too Faced is sold in more than 30 countries.
7. Too Faced was the first company to create the first glitter eyeshadow.
8. Too Faced is one of the top-selling brands everywhere
First, let's start with the real tea and that is the Too Faced Then & Now Eye-shadow Palette! This palette is gorgeous and I'm so in love with all the shades. On the top, we have the 10 OGs shades that were launched in 1998 and on the bottom, we have the new and improve shades inspired by the OGs. Now since this is Too Faced and their palettes never disappoint and I feel like i can do a lot of glam looks for the evenings.
This price for this palette is $59, which is a little expensive and Too Faced it's your 20th birthday and I feel like they should of went harder and maybe gave us two palettes?
This is a pretty palette but, I feel like this palette needed more mattes shades because they basically gave us three and they are basically transition shades. They could have done all matte palette inspired by the OGs and a shimmer palette or went all out and did a palette just like Natural Love Eye Shadow Collection.
I LIVED for the packaging! It's so glittery, sparkly, and giving me "I'm a Barbie Girl" tease it also has a built-in mirror which is a plus.
It's your birthday and I know you want to lash out!
We all know and love the Better Than Sex Mascara but Too Faced is giving us a glittery packaging limited edition to celebrate their 20th birthday. It's the same as the Better Than Sex Mascara the original, it's very long-lasting and enhances your lashes to make your doll eyes pop! This mascara is priced at $24.00
NEW LIPPIES or should I say old? Too Faced also launched eight original shades (remastered). The formula applies creamy on the lips and leaving a sparkly finish. I do like all the shades they are really pretty, but I don't really wear metallic lipsticks as my everyday makeup. Maybe, when I'm feeling a little extra I'll definitely put these bad gals on. The packaging is so luscious, giving me dazzle and glamorous life tease. So Jeremy and Jerrod style. This lipstick is priced at $22 which is a little expensive because not every day lippie its more of a special occasion.
THOUGHTS AND SCORE
My thoughts and opinions on this collection are they should have gone harder with the palette and provide more shades and when I mean more shades I mean more mattes. I know that glitter and shimmer is Too Faced thing, but we need some mattes shades in our lives. Plus, why isn't there new nude shades especially for lips?
Just by looking at this collection I'll score this 4 out of 5 because even I'm interested in the palette and will be purchasing. I feel like they should add more matte shades and maybe nude shades for the lips
